An Alliance woman has pleaded guilty for stealing from the Alliance Cattle Capitol Rodeo Committee.
40-year-old Tera Gasseling entered her plea Monday morning in Box Butte County District Court.
In a plea agreement with the State, Gasseling pleaded guilty to Attempted Theft, a class four felony. The original charge was Theft and Second Degree Forgery, both of which are class three felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Gasseling’s amended charge carries a maximum of five years in prison with no minimum. She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 14.
Gasseling admitted to stealing over $2,900. However, a restitution amount will be determined either prior to sentencing or following a possible restitution hearing.
