Hunter Convicted Of Battery After Trespassing Incident

Man Faces 6 Years In Prison, Fine

MADISON, Wis. -- A Lyndon Station man was convicted of battery on Friday after an incident that occurred after he was found trespassing on private land in Sauk County in 2004.

Dale Fleming was hunting on Charles Goad's land when Goad asked him to leave. Prosecutors said that Fleming then hit Goad several times in the face with the butt of his gun, WISC-TV reported. 

He now faces a $10,000 fine and six years in prison. 

Fleming is also charged with bail-jumping after he was allegedly hunting on Goad's land again in November 2005, WISC-TV reported.
