Hunters shooting pigeons on the Delaware River are not violating animal cruelty laws and charges filed against them should be dropped, urged Bucks County District Attorney Dave Heckler.
Animal cruelty citations filed by Humane Society police Officer Johnna Seeton "will not be prosecuted and should be dismissed," Heckler said Monday. "The shooting of pigeons in Pennsylvania is unquestionably legal."
Seeton said pigeon shoots do indeed violate state law and she wants the chance to argue that in court.
