Video of post pigeon protest confrontation
A computer released by the District Attorney's Office contained this video depicting an altercation between Steve Hindi and an employee of a Warminster pool company who pulled a gun on pigeon shooting protestors
A video depicting a confrontation between a pair of animal rights activists and a man identified in court records as a Carlton Pools employee was obtained by the newspaper Friday.
The video, which was on a laptop seized by police, was released by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office to Digital Forensics Consultants, a Newtown computer forensics firm hired by the protesters to see if the laptop or video was tampered with.
The video was filmed by Janet Enoch of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness after Enoch and Steve Hindi led a protest outside the Carlton Pools location on York Road in Warminster. It shows a man identified in court records as Robert Olsen, a Carlton Pools operations manager, confront Hindi and Enoch after they follow him on a short chase through Warminster. Hindi said someone in Olsen's red SUV appeared to be filming the protesters throughout the day and after the protest they had a verbal altercation. At that point, Hindi and Enoch followed the SUV hoping to record a license plate.
Hindi - who remains off-camera throughout the video - can be heard asking if Olsen is trying to intimidate them, to which Olsen responds: "...anytime, anyway I can...this is my neighborhood..."
The video shows the ensuing expletive-choked confrontation inwhich Olsen's hand can be seen reaching toward the camera immediately before the lens is blocked. Then there's sounds of scuffle, someone says, "Don't hit me," and then Olsen's hand is seen moving away from the camera.
Olsen then draws a handgun with the holster still covering the barrel, pulls the holster off, points the gun in the direction of Hindi's voice and orders Hindi to the ground. Olsen asks a companion to call police, but the friend suggests they leave and they do.
More on the story and from a search warrant for Hindi's laptop online tomorrow and in Sunday's paper.
