A young steer was killed today at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. The second animal to have his neck snapped in two days. The traumatic video shows the horrible injuries sustained by the steer as it was roped and then dragged through the mud with an obvious broken neck.

On the second day of the rodeo, a young calf’s neck was also broken during a calf-roping event. Investigators from SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness have been present at the rodeo documenting the animal abuse. Although veterinarians are apparently on rodeo staff they appear to do nothing to curtail endangering animals but are merely on hand to euthanize.

SHARK President stated, “This is despicable behavior and an outrage to decent Americans who do not need to abuse animals for entertainment. The Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo continues to go unchallenged as it abuses and kills baby animals for fun. “
