SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness continues its vigilance at Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo monitoring the animal injuries and deaths. On Saturday, July 20th, a steer broke his leg in the roping event, and was dragged around the arena with his leg dangling behind it. The injury proved deadly for the young animal and he had to be euthanized.

In another event, two horses and riders fell head first over a fence in dangerous accidents. These are no “freak” accidents, as the rodeos like to try to cover up the abuse but daily occurrences of animals suffering terribly for entertainment. It is unknown what the fate of the two horses was.
