Philadelphia Inquirer “Planned pigeon shoot attracts protesters, but no shooters” - November 9, 2014

DEAR FRIENDS,

A few days ago we publicly announced that SHARK would be at the Philadelphia Gun Club (PGC) for what has been the traditional opening of the horrific pigeon shooting season for the Philadelphia Gun Club (PGC).

We were there, in our boat on the water - in the air with our camera-equipped Angel aircraft, and at the gun club entrance with our cameras ready to film their illegally covered license plates, but the cowardly pigeon shooters didn’t show.

A victim from a previous shoot at the PGC. She was shot then fell into the freezing water of the Delaware River. She died before we could get to her.

Please continue to contact all of the members of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives and tell them to pass legislation that will forever end these filthy shoots.

You can get their email addresses HERE.

Reminder: Protest Cruel Pigeon Shoots Monday and Wednesday!

Please join us at the following important protests against cruel pigeon shoots in Pennsylvania:

• Monday, November 10th in Pittsburgh protesting PA House Majority Leader Mike Turzai for taking money from pigeon shooters and killing legislation to ban pigeon shoots.

125 Hillvue Lane, First Floor
Pittsburgh, PA 15237
Town of McCandless

• Wednesday, November 12th in Harrisburg. We have the Capitol Rotunda reserved from 1:30 - 3:30 and we will have a large TV playing video on the last day the legislature is in session.

Main Capitol Building
N 3rd St, Harrisburg, PA 17120

In these past few months, SHARK has spent a lot of money fighting for the pigeon shoot ban. We have invested even more in new TV advertisements because the pressure against this monstrous cruelty must never end.

The funds generously donated by TV legend Bob Barker are gone. We need your help. Our resources are running low and if we are to continue to stand up and fight for animals, we need your generous support.

Those who mercilessly slaughter innocent pigeons for fun are extremely wealthy. Beside their own personal multimillions, they also have the vast wealth and lobbying resources of the National Rifle Association on their side.

SHARK is the engine of change in Pennsylvania and your donations are our fuel. We cannot run without you. Please don’t let the progress against this monstrous cruelty stop.
