Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe May Have Broken Election Laws, Group Charges at Capitol; Cherokee Nation Members Criticize Principal Chief's Role in Inhofe Pigeon Shoot Fundraising Event
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) may have broken election laws at a pigeon shoot fundraising event he held Sept. 5, according to documents and video made public at a Capitol press conference here Tuesday morning by an international animal protection group.
SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) President Steve Hindi said video documentation his group has obtained indicates it was federal land used for a pigeon shoot fundraiser by Sen. Inhofe in Oklahoma, that the general manager of the district participated in the shoot, contributed to Inhofe's campaign and his district profited from Sen. Inhofe's votes in the Senate.

Members of the Cherokee Nation also participated in the press conference here Tuesday and voiced serious concerns about their Principal Chief's participation in a controversial pigeon shoot fundraiser. Bill John Baker, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, was filmed participating in the pigeon shoot. A complaint against Chief Baker has been filed with Attorney General Todd Hembree of the Cherokee Nation by Cherokee lawyer Michael E. Pigeon Shoot Scandal Widens: Rep. Markwayne Mullin Identified as 2nd Oklahoma Congressman Blasting Live Pigeons in Undercover Video of Pigeon Slaughter/ Campaign Fundraiser
LONE WOLF, OK – A second member of Congress – Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) – has been identified in an undercover video, along with Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), as an active participant in a fundraiser for Inhofe where live pigeons were used for shooting practice here in early September.
New images of Rep. Mullin were released today by SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK), the international animal protection group that made public the original video – which has now gone viral around the world – of Inhofe blasting live pigeons for fun and campaign money.

HARRISBURG, PA – Comcast Cable – which pulled the plug earlier this month on a Bob Barker-narrated television commercial that urged an end to cruel pigeon shoots in Pennsylvania – has now agreed to air the spot throughout the entire state, including the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas, on CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC.
Comcast yanked the ad about two weeks ago after declaring it too "violent." Only MSNBC and FoxNews would air it, and only after 9 p.m. As of today, hundreds of spots on running throughout Pennsylvania on CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight, and after 8 p.m. on Animal Planet.

HARRISBURG, PA – A new statewide television commercial – narrated by legendary game show host Bob Barker and graphically showing gross animal cruelty at Pennsylvania pigeon shoots – will be unveiled here Tuesday. It's expected to air on CNN, FoxNews and other networks this week.
The news conference to preview the commercial and details of the campaign will be held TUESDAY/SEPT. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the State Capitol Rotunda.
